Cinema critic Habeeb Nasserie, dedicates in his introduction to Dr Bouchaib, his admiration for his works. Masoudi’s book criticises the difference between documentary films and reporting. He states in his introduction, the difficulty of developing an accurate definition of what a documentary film is. He says, “it’s a way of expression... restoring the nation's past and improving their artistic and cultural future."
