Will temperature touch 50° C in UAE today?

UAE woke up to fog and mist on Thursday morning, leading to accidents and multi-vehicle pile-ups on Dubai-Sharjah road, among others.
And if that bout of bad weather wasn't enough, temperature in the country is set to touch 49 degree Celsius, according to ArabiaWeather forecast available with Khaleej Times.
The mercury is likely to touch 48 degree Celsius in Dubai, 47 degree Celsius in Abu Dhabi, 49 degree Celsius in Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain.
Ras Al Khaimah will be comparatively cooler at 44 degree Celsius, while Fujairah should see the mercury touch 41 degree Celsius.
The forecast comes after the UAE weather department, the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology, the lowest temperature today -- 24.1 degree Celsius -- was recorded at Hamim at 6am.
