Temperatures on Monday are forecast to rise 3-4 degrees above their annual average, as the country remains under the impact of a heatwave until Wednesday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD).
The heatwave, which started affecting the country earlier this week is expected to push temperatures to their upper thirties, reaching 36 degrees in the capital and jumping to 41 in the Gulf of Aqaba, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will cool down at night dropping down to 23 degrees in the capital and sliding to 30 degrees in the Gulf of Aqaba, it said.
