Israel's war against the imprisoned and besieged Gaza has not stopped, and the Generals' bullets of the 'invincible army' continue to shower over the heads of the Strip's men, women, elders and children… Israeli racism which has reached the extent of fascism is happy to alter the Strip along with its people to field-test the "Iron Dome" missile defence system. Israel disclosed the secret and revealed to the world that the purpose of the renewed war was just to test the effectiveness of its "anti-ballistic missiles" (ABM) and nothing else…so brazenly, dozens dead and even greater numbers of the injured are falling due to cold-blooded Israelis and their aim to test a new generation of weapons of mass destruction. The Strip maintained the truce and the factions are committed not to fire rockets at the settlements, while the Israeli military which was founded on genocide and massacre refused to comply with any covenant or charter. It was determined to continue its barbarian war against the Palestinian population. As for the pretext which is always invoked to justify the aggression, it is the most convenient thing to apply to any situation: "Terrorists are planning to perform an operation against Israel and the must army carry out preemptive action to protect civilians". They have said that every time they carry out an aggressive attack against the Palestinian people in the diaspora's homeland. They chanted the same sentence over and over again, even while breaking into the headquarters of non-governmental organisations and media institutions, a few metres away from the "boycott". However, Israel through its war against Gaza also wants to "hit two birds with one stone"… it wants to test the Arab world in the age of the Arab Spring. It wants to measure the patience of the new Egyptian regime towards a unilateral policy in Gaza… Israel wants to interfere in and impede the Palestinian reconciliation. It wants to interfere in the internal dialogue in Hamas, so that radical voices will drown out those of moderates; it wants to test its "holy alliance" with the United States, particularly after Obama declared that supporting Israel was a duty that lived up to the "holiness" level of the current administration's policy. Above all, this war insisted on this "neo-Nazi experiment" as a "rehearsal" for the upcoming Israeli wars on the northern front with Hezbollah and on the remote front with Iran. Israel is perhaps well aware of the limits of the weapons capacity of the Gaza Strip and its factions and is able to control the matter and determine the terms of war. It does not enjoy such a "luxury" in other fields, and if there is a need to test the Iron Dome, let it be in the "Gaza Laboratory" and not on open fronts in the north and the east. It is truly regrettable that Israel's war on Gaza comes amid talks of feverish attempts to "save the peace process and resume negotiations". Israel's war comes days or hours before the promised Palestinian message to Netanyahu and days after the International Conference on Jerusalem took place in Doha. It's as if Israel wants to say to all the gathered parties: "Go wherever you like in your attempts, conferences and messages, and I will go wherever the Air Force goes through killings, assassination and destruction." It's the moment of the real test for the alternative Palestinian strategic reconciliation option that is being intensively talked about recently. It is time to test the Arab Spring revolutions, especially in Egypt; it's time to examine the Arab League and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) which turned the world upside down to stop the aggression of the Syrian regime and is standing handicapped watching Israel's aggression against the Palestinian people. It's time to examine the militarisation options which some Arab countries are now professional at under the Arab League umbrella, to see if they will dare to ask, or even whisper for arming the Palestinian resistance and establishing humanitarian corridors as well as providing safe havens for Palestinians in their occupied and besieged homeland. It is now the ultimate test for any "drastic measures" which are never achieved and reach a tipping point when it comes to intra-Arab conflicts. But when it comes to Israel's arrogance and aggression, we only hear words of "wisdom", "prudence" and "patience and endurance". Some Arabs got angry when the Syrian regime procrastinated in accepting their initiative to resolve the Syrian crisis, but none of them showed the slightest resentment while watching Israel's procrastination in accepting their initiative to resolve the Palestinian issue as it enters its tenth day without achieving any progress. Arabs did not intervene while witnessing killings, displacement, Judaisation, "Israelisation" and settlements sweeping the territory. Do you not remember the "taking the matter of Jerusalem to the UN Security Council" initiative? Where did that end? Where did they find all this time to present projects to the Security Council, the General Assembly and the international community, regarding Syria and did not even bother to issue a statement from their governments and foreign ministries condemning the Israeli aggression, not even to avoid criticism? Israel's intentions - both secret and otherwise - are well known but these people's intentions aren't clear and need to be re-examined. I think the showering bullets over Gaza gave us the chance to reveal the unknown and explore the malicious truths to these intentions, objectives and allegations. So shouldn't we learn a lesson?!
