Oman Air has welcomed the 500,000th member to Sindbad, the national carrier Oman’s frequent flyer program.
At a ceremony held recently, the Sindbad team welcomed the latest member, Fakhria Khamis Al-Ajami, the renowned first Omani actress, at Oman Air’s head office.
Al-Ajami received a complimentary gold tier membership of Sindbad, which gives access to exclusive benefits such as extra baggage allowance, Business Class lounge access for the member and a guest, in-flight duty free discount, priority check-in, and bonus Sindbad miles.
Oman Air’s CEO Paul Gregorowitsch commented: “We are delighted to have reached 500,000 members. Celebrating this milestone is a great achievement for us and is a reflection of the airline’s commitment to service to rewarding and forming genuine connections with our customers.”
Named Sindbad after the legendary sailor who is thought to be from Oman, Oman Air’s frequent flyer program is synonymous with travel, benefits, and excitement, and reflects the heritage and pioneering spirit of its namesake.
The program has members throughout the airline’s international network, who are able to progress through its three tiers – gold, silver and blue. Every member enjoys access to a wide range of privileges and special offers.
The launch of Junior Sindbad Flyer earlier this year was another of Sindbad’s milestones, enabling younger passengers to enjoy some of the privileges offered to Oman Air’s most loyal and valued customers.
The program, which invites passengers between four and 12 years of age to participate in a campaign and collect a free flight, has been exceptionally well received and is making air travel even more exciting for young customers.
Every Junior Sindbad Flyer receives their own Oman Air passport, which is stamped and signed by the captain on every flight they take. Once they have collected 10 stamps and signatures, they are able to claim a free flight to any destination within the Oman Air network.
