Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang left for New York on Sunday to take part in the 71st session of the UN General Assembly.
After the US visit, he will fly to Canada and Cuba at the invitation of leaders from both countries, the Foreign Ministry said in an earlier statement.
The tour will run for ten days.
