WD-Challengers bagged the winner's trophies claiming the Alliance Friday Bash T20 and the Alliance Saturday Bash T20 and remained undefeated throughout the tournament with eight consecutive wins.
In the Friday Bash, WD-Challengers beat Smashers XI by 147 runs in the final while in the Saturday Bash, WD-Challengers defeated Leeds by six wickets.
Batting first, WD-Challengers posted 263 for 5 in 20 overs. Sheridan Hadfiled was unlucky not to complete his century as he remained unbeaten on 99. Jerin John blasted 73 to boost the total. Anil Kumar picked two wickets for 44. Smashers XI were no match as they were bowled out for 116 in 16.2 overs with Rajeev (3-9) and Jerin John (2-25) being the top bowlers. Only Ankur (31) and Rahul (26) offered some resistance. Naveen Kumar of Challengers was named the best batsman while Ankit Pandey of ESG XI won the best bowler award. Sudakar Varadarajan of Delight Kings won the man of the series award.
In the Saturday Bash, Leeds scored 199 for 7 in 20 overs with Ron Michael's 98 being the top score. Santhosh K (34) and Saju Sam (22) also contributed. Siddarth was the most successful bowler with figures of 3 for 43. WD-Challengers overhauled the victory target in 18.3 overs with Sujith Suvarna being their star with an unbeaten 63. Naveen Kumar of Challengers was declared the best batsman and man of the series. Vinod Nair of ARSCC won the best bowler prize.
