Athletics events continue in the evening with the second session competitions as the men’s and women’s 100m semi-finals and final will take place, in addition to the men’s 400m semi-finals, while AwekeYimer and Linus Kiplagat will both take part in the men’s 5,000m final.

Bahrain’s progress was closely followed by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, who arrived in Baku yesterday to head the kingdom’s delegation.
