Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker had the misfortune of scoring the new Premier League season's first goal with an own goal for Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
With 21 minutes on the clock, Walker attempted to stop Wayne Rooney shooting from Ashley Young's right-wing cross, only to send the ball rolling past Spurs goalkeeper Michel Vorm and into the bottom-left corner.
United handed debuts to new signings Sergio Romero, Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay, while Toby Alderweireld made his first competitive appearance for Tottenham.
Champions Chelsea open their title defence at home to Swansea City later on Saturday.
