Egyptian footballer Saleh Gommaa of Ahly football team expressed his pleasure for winning the Egyptian Premier League for this year, saying that he was aspiring to fans’ attendance during receiving the league’s shield on Saturday.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the players performed well during the season and deserved to win the Egyptian league for this season. He stressed their keenness to win the coming match against Zanaco in the framework of CAF Champions League.
He expressed his frustration for the team’s loss against Wydad Casablanca during the latest match, saying that this defeat could pose serious challenge against the team during the coming matches. He stressed the need for winning the coming two matches to qualify for the coming round of the championship.
He added that the players give priority to win the CAF Champions League for the current season to meet the expectations of their fans in all over the Arab world, saying that they will perform well during the coming matches.
