Dubai Police has arrested an Arab while he was about to board a plane after receiving tip-off that he had stolen Dh25,000 and was trying to flee the country.
The Dubai Police carried out the operation in cooperation with General Department of Airport Security and Al Qusais police station.
Colonel Yousef Al Odaidi, director of Al Qusais police station, said that the police received a call from the culprit's roommate that the money he had received from his company was missing from his cupboard.
The man suspected that the accused -- who was from the same country -- had stolen the money. When he found his phone switched off, he called the police. The police swung into action and issued an alert. They launched an investigation and nabbed the accused before he could exit the country.
