A man beat up his wife and chased her and their children out of their home after he suspected the woman of cheating on him with other men.
The Arab woman went to Al Ain family court demanding separation from the "abusive" husband.
The Arab husband, who frequently travels abroad for work, had installed surveillance cameras all over their house to monitor the movements of his 33-year-old wife whenever he was away.
The woman, who has a decent private job in Al Ain, said the man also used to spy on her when she would go out to shopping malls and other places with her friends.
The wife told the court that she had been patient with her husband since the responsibility of bringing up and taking care of their three children was left to her as the man was always away from home for work - sometimes for months together.
The woman said she was, however, surprised when her husband started mistrusting her and suspecting her of being in relationship with other men.
One day, as the woman was at home, the man allegedly barged in and thrashed her badly in front of the kids and housemaid. He also accused her of cheating and betraying him.
The woman said the man also threw her and her children out of their house despite the fact that she had contributed monetarily to its construction. The man said she should return to her father's home.
After hearing the case, the family court separated the couple and granted custody of the children to their mother.
The court also ordered that the mother and her children should return and stay in the family house from where they were evicted by the husband.
The man was also told to pay school fees and other expenses for his three children.
