The Command of Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Thursday morning that an Emirati ship was attacked in Yemen.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, Houthi rebels in a boat attacked the ship as it was departing from the port of Mokha.
The attack resulted in the injury of one crew member, but the ship was not damaged.
The Command confirmed in a statement that a thorough follow-up of the incident is being carried and tracking down its perpetrators.
The Command renewed its warning that Al Houthi militias' continuing practices of arms and ammunition smuggling activities into Yemeni territories affect the security of navigation in this vital part of the world.
The statement also called on the international community to pressure Houthi militias and ousted-president Ali Abdullah Saleh's forces to implement United Nations Security Council resolutions 2216 to prevent these criminal practices.
