The World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa (WEF-MENA) will kick off tomorrow at the Dead Sea shores, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhouri said on Thursday.
In a press conference held on Thursday, Fakhouri said the forum will be held under the theme “Empowering Generations into the Future”. More than 1000 public and private sector officials and figures will be taking part in the few-day event.
His Majesty King Abdullah II will officially inaugurate the forum on Saturday, the minister said, adding that HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah will deliver a keynote address at the event.
The forum, Fakhouri said, will be attended by King Felipe VI of Spain, Iraqi President Fouad Masoum, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Republic of Macedonia Georgi Ivanov, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, President of Niger Mohamed Yousuf, Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kuprashvili and Deputy Lebanese Prime Minister Ghassan Hasbani, as well as other Arab and international officials.
