UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to Arab League, Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, chaired the UAE's delegation to the Arab League's Council at the permanent representatives' level, which was held in Cairo on Sunday.
The two-day meeting will determine the agenda of the Arab foreign ministers' 148th ordinary meeting next Tuesday.
Apart from the Secretary-General's report on the pan-Arab body and bi-annual report on implementation of resolutions passed during the Amman Summit 2017, the ministers will discuss a wide range of current issues, including the latest developments in Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq.
The agenda also include a review of Israeli threats to Arab national security, counter-terrorism efforts, refugee challenges and Iran's occupation of three UAE islands.
