Tunisian military forces stationed in the buffer zone between Tunisia and Libya on the southeastern border have arrested 37 illegal immigrants while trying to infiltrate into the country.
The country's Defense Ministry said in a statement, carried by Tunisia's news agency (TAP), that military units deployed in the buffer zone at Tunisia's southeast borders thwarted illegal border crossing, migration and smuggling attempts between May 12 and 19.
The statement added that three cars, used by smugglers, were also seized during this military operation.
