Thousands of workers residing in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Jafza, a subsidiary of global port operator DP World, will receive 75,000 iftar meals throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The initiative has been launched in co-operation with the Emirates Red Crescent.
Every year, Jafza joins hands with companies operating in its zone to provide healthy iftar food to workers in the area, said Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World Group.
The move aims to establish the humanitarian identity of the UAE, he added.
