Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt have agreed to grant Qatar a 48-hour extension to meet demands following a request by His Highness the Emir of Kuwait.
“In response to the request by HH Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, to extend the special deadline submitted to the government of Qatar by 48 hours following its assertion that it will send on Monday its official response to the list of demands, the four countries announce their approval of His Highness’s request,” Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt said in a joint statement.
“The response of the four countries will be sent after examining the Qatari government’s answer and evaluating its response to the full list of demands.”
