Oman and Morocco signed a memorandum of Judicial Cooperation in Rabat. It includes articles to regulate the judicial cooperation in the field of sharing information and encouraging visits and seminars.
The memorandum was signed from the Omani side by Sheikh Dr. Is'haq bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council, Chairman of the Administrative Affairs Council for Judiciary while it was signed from the Moroccan side by Mustafa Faris, First President of the Court of Cassation of Morocco.
It also includes items related to information and expertise exchange in the procedural area and supporting cooperation in the field of prerogatives of the two courts, in addition to exchanging judgments, decisions and the judicial publications.
The signing ceremony of the memorandum was attended by several judicial officials.
The signing of the memorandum comes on the sidelines of the visit of the Chairman of the Supreme Court to Morocco to support the cordial relations binding the two countries. During the visit, he met with the Moroccan Minister of Justice. The two sides discussed basics of supporting the judicial and justice cooperation related to the judicial and legal affairs between the two countries.
