The Federal National Council, FNC, under the presidency of Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the FNC, will hold its 15th and 16th sessions of the second ordinary session of the 16th legislative chapter next Tuesday and Wednesday at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, to discuss a draft federal law on archaeological sites while its members will address 11 questions to government representatives on a range of issues.
During its 15th session, the FNC will discuss a draft federal law to amend Federal Law No. 07 of 2008 on the National Archives, and a draft federal law to amend the decree of Federal Law No. 06 of 2007 on establishing and managing the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
FNC members will also address six questions for government representative, including four questions to H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, while Salem Ali Al Shehhi, FNC Member, will address two questions on determining vehicle loads and paying to transport people in private cars.
Ahmed Yussuf Al Nuaimi will address a question on the conditions for renting motorcycles, while Naema Abdullah Al Sharhan, FNC Member, will ask a question about the safety of children inside vehicles.
Al Sharhan will also address another question to Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, on the ministry’s plans and programmes to raise the awareness of teenagers.
Saeed Saleh Al Rumaithi, FNC Member, will address a question to Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, on the management of trademarks in telecommunications.
Also during its 15th session, the FNC will be informed about the Council’s announcement, issued for the occasion on the 41st anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces, and will review a note addressed to the government concerning the FNC's recommendations from a report by international organisations on the UAE. It will also discuss a report by the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee on its recommendations concerning the protection and promotion of food and maritime production.
During its 16th session, the FNC will discuss a draft federal national law on archaeological sites and its draft budget for the 2018 fiscal year.
FNC members will also address five questions to government representatives during its 16th session. Hamad Ahmed Al Rahoumi, FNC Member, will address a question to Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, on travel for foreign workers without notifying their employers, and another question to Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness, on the competencies of the Ministry of Happiness.
FNC members also address two questions to Najla bint Mohammed Al Awar, Minister of Community Development, while Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalaita, FNC Member, will ask a question on charitable foundations in the UAE, and Azza Suleiman, FNC Member, will also ask about the lack any laws to organise volunteer work in the UAE. Salem Ali Al Shehhi will also ask Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi about the use of identity cards.
