Emirati Women’s Day
Ras Al Khaimah - Emirates Voice

Sheikha Hana bint Juma Al Majid, Wife of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has praised the achievements of women in the UAE and their effective participation in the renaissance of the country, along with men, due to the support of the wise leadership that provided them with all the components of success.

While receiving a delegation of women from the Ras al-Khaimah Courts on Emirati Women’s Day, Sheikha Hana added that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan had realised the important role of women since the establishment of the UAE, and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan followed in his footsteps.

She stressed that the Emirati Women’s Day celebrations come from the desire of the wise leadership to make women an essential partner in their plans, and participate in the process of the UAE’s comprehensive development. She also praised the support of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the "Mother of the UAE," for women in all areas, which enabled them to effectively contribute to the nation’s renaissance and journey of excellence.

She further stressed that the nation must not forget the mothers of the UAE’s martyrs, who raised their sons and daughters to love and remain loyal to the nation and its wise leadership, while highlighting the importance of their sacrifice, to raise the flag of the UAE.

Sheikha Hana congratulated Sheikha Fatima on the national occasion that confirms the prominent position attained by Emirati women, which is the fruit of her efforts to empower them and promote their role in the community. The country had provided women with the best opportunities in education and the labour market, to become an effective partner in the process of development, she added.

Moza Shaiban Al Habsi, Director of the Institutional Communication Office and Chairperson of the Sawaed Al Khair Volunteer Team at the Ras al-Khaimah Courts, thanked Sheikha Hana and appreciated her constant attention and monitoring of women's affairs at the Ras al-Khaimah Courts.

She also expressed her happiness and appreciation for the wise leadership’s support for women, which motivated them in all areas and enabled them to occupy a prominent international position.
