Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) distributed on Wednesday the food aid provided by the UAE to poor and low-income families in the Tarim Province and surrounding areas, in an effort to help the people of Hadramaut, and to meet the needs of Yemeni citizens as well.
The ERC dispatched a relief convoy, which was received by beneficiaries with a great joy. They thanked and wished well the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the ERC for its continued relief aid to ease their suffering.
Ahmed Al-Neyadi, deputy head of the ERC team in Hadramaut, said during the distribution that the distribution of this relief aid comes in order to meet the needs of the people and normalise the lives of families who suffer difficult economic conditions, especially in the service and humanitarian fields.
He also pledged that the ERC would continue carrying out these humanitarian projects and ensure the relief assistance reaches out to all citizens in need in the various provinces of Hadramaut amid critical circumstances created by the Houthi and Saleh militias.
Al Neyadi reiterated that the ERC would continue to distribute aid in all of Hadramaut districts to the beneficiaries to alleviate their suffering.
