Durban,South Africa - Emirates Voice

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has organised a campaign to grant the wishes of its staff in non-supervisory positions, as part of its efforts to support the Year of Giving initiative.
DEWA granted the wishes of 30 employees in grades 8 and below. Their wishes included laptops, iPhones, appliances, home furniture, shopping vouchers, and gifts for children.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, received the employees at his office, where he commended them for their hard work and dedication, and applauded their efforts in performing their duties. Al Tayer had a friendly conversation with them, talking about the importance of working as one team.
He stressed that all jobs are equally-important, to maintain DEWA’s achievements and advance services to new levels of excellence, to achieve the vision of the wise leadership to make the UAE number one in everything it does.
Al Tayer pointed out that the campaign to grant the wishes of employees is part of DEWA’s efforts to support the Year of Giving initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and carry out the directives of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to implement initiatives to benefit UAE society.
The employees showed their joy and thanks for making their wishes come true. They also thanked Al Tayer for the friendly meeting and commended DEWA for providing a happy working environment for all its employees.
