Dar Al Ber Society held a special function to entertain orphans in the northern emirate of Ras al-Khaimah.
The event, organised in collaboration with the ‘Takatof’ voluntary programme, was aimed at involving the children in a variety of community, national and charitable activities to help bolster their skills and develop their personalities.
Ali Abdullah Al Shehi, Dar Al Ber Manager in Ras al-Khaimah, said the function, themed ‘Happier Together,’ was held under the supervision of the Emirates Foundation to mark the new academic year.
"Up to 20 orphans listed with Dar Al Ber took part in the event during which they were well received in a special way that put a smile on their faces, added to their knowledge, and inspired their creativity and innovation," he said.
Free drawing workshops, sweet and fruit decoration sessions, cultural contests, and group games were organised and healthy meals were served to the orphans. Stationery coupons were also distributed among the children to make them happier, Al Shehi explained.
