As part of the directives of GCC Interior Ministers to hold naval and joint exercises to gain experience and exchange information, the Coast Guard represents the Interior Ministry in the joint naval exercise (Gulf Peace 6) that will be held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, from September 17 to 20.
The exercise aims to enhance maritime security and safety, through a number of scenarios.
Coast Guard Commander, Brigadier Alaa Siyadi expressed thanks and appreciation to the Interior Minister for his directives to enhance maritime security among GCC countries.
He said that the exercise was an opportunity to gain skills and expertise and carry out joint operations.
