Under the patronage of Oil Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) will organise, in cooperation with affiliate oil companies and relevant sides, the “Bahraini Women Engineers Forum”.
The event will be held on October 10 on the sidelines of the 4th Middle East Process Engineering Conference and Exhibition (MEPEC 2017), in the presence of women engineers from government institutions, oil and industrial companies, as well as other relevant parties.
The forum is also held in accordance with the theme of this year’s Bahraini Women’s Day –“Women in the Engineering Field”.
The minister valued highly the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, to dedicate the Bahraini Women’s Day, to be marked on December 1, to honouring Bahraini women engineers.
He lauded HRH Princess Sabeeka’s unlimited support for Bahraini female engineers in the public and private sectors, as well as her appreciation of Bahrain women’s valuable contributions to various development fields and progress boom witnessed by the kingdom under HM King Hamad’s Reform Project.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa stressed that numerous women competencies are active in the oil and industrial sectors in the kingdom, praising the tremendous efforts exerted by the SCW to empower Bahraini women in various fields.
The forum aims to shed light on the outstanding march of Bahraini women engineers and their landmark achievements, as well as to explore ways enhance their presence and contributions to the sectors, and address the obstacles facing them.
