Al Watan newspaper said the financial damage inflicted by Qatar-funded terrorism and incited by Al Jazeera TV against the Kingdom of Bahrain over the last seven years was estimated at $ 26 billion.
The Bahrain-based newspaper in its editorial today titled “Qatar’s Bill in Bahrain” said that since the 1990s, Qatar relations were intermittently tense despite the strong bonds between the two peoples.
Qatar plotted to destabilize Bahrain’s national security and to weaken the kingdom both economically and politically. The newspaper wondered who is going to pay the compensation for the families of Bahraini security men killed by Doha-financed terrorism? The newspaper stressed that we have the right to sue Qatar before the international judiciary for this purpose.
Al Watan lamented Bahrain’s huge loss of economic and investment opportunities wreaked by Qatar-backed terrorist attacks since 2011.
