U.S. President Donald Trump said the probe into Russian collusion in the 2016 U.S. presidential election divides the country, denying any collusion with Russia.
The comment comes the day after the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller, the former FBI director. "I respect the move, but the entire thing has been a witch hunt," Trump said during a joint appearance with Colombian President Juan Manual Santos. He said the focus should be on delivering for the American people.
He confirmed that he had not asked former director of the FBI James Comey to end investigating into the Russian intervention.
