The chocolate maker Mars said Friday it was recalling batches of seven of its products in Britain and Ireland over concerns they may contain the harmful salmonella bacteria.
In a statement, Mars Chocolate UK and Mars Ireland said "a small amount" of products were affected, and these were being recalled "to ensure the confidence and safety of our consumers".
The recall concerns batches of three types of Galaxy milk chocolate, two types of Galaxy counters, Galaxy Minstrels and "Maltesers Teasers" bars, with a product expiry date of May 6 or 13, 2018.
The salmonella bug is a potential source of food poisoning, causing fever and diarrhoea.
