French President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist party and its allies won an absolute majority in Sunday's second round of parliamentary elections.
Macron’s La Republique en Marche (LREM) party took 370 of 577 seats in the lower-house National Assembly, followed by the Republican Party with 130 seats and the Socialist Party 35 seats.
Marine Le Pen's far-right Front National (FN) won eight seats.
