
The Planning Ministry, in cooperation with the effective planning project of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), organized a visit to South Africa to inspect its experiment in the planning, development, monitoring, evaluation and public finance fields.
The delegation included a number of the ministry's leaderships as well as young researchers in various departments of the ministry.
The delegation was led by deputy Minister of Planning Nehal el Mgharbal.
The delegation held a number of meetings with South African officials in which they reviewed South Africa's model in preparing a national development plan until 2030 and means to change it to a five-year national and domestic plan as well as other national, sector and domestic executive investment programs.
The Egyptian delegation also reviewed preparation for Egypt's 2030 sustainable development strategy and efforts exhorted to put the strategy into action within medium-term and annual plans.
The delegation paid a two-day visit to Cape Town during which they held a number of meetings with its administrative authority to discuss the government's achievements at the level of municipalities.
