The Bulgarian parliament elected on Thursday conservative GERB party leader Boyko Borisov as prime minister. A total of 133 members of parliament voted for Borisov while100 parliamentarians voted against Borisov.
The parliament in Sofia still has to approve Borisov's coalition government with the nationalist bloc, United Patriots (OP). Borisov's GERB part won 95 of the 240 seats in snap parliamentary elections on March 26.
