National Guard Director of Staff, Major-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, today received outgoing British Senior Defence Advisor for Middle East, Lt-General Thomas Beckett, who introduced to him Lt-General Sir John Lorimer the UK’s new Senior Defence Advisor for Middle East.
The Director-of-Staff conveyed the greetings of National Guard President His Highness Lt-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa to Lt-General Thomas Beckett and His Highness’s appreciation of his efforts throughout his working stint in bolstering the military liaison between the two sides, wishing him success. He also congratulated Lt-General Sir John Lorimer, wishing him success.
The director praised the excellent historic friendship ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, citing the ongoing cooperation in all fields, especially in the military fields
