His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday, received His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain at the Al Bateen Palace.
They exchanged greetings on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and sheikhs. They all expressed their best wishes of further prosperity for their countries and all other Arab and Muslim nations.
The leaders had a friendly conversation about the UAE-Bahrain relations that are based on strong foundations of fraternity, mutual understanding and joint action.
They all performed the maghreb (sunset) prayer and later had iftar at a banquet hosted by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
King Hamad arrived earlier today at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi where he was welcomed by Sheikh Mohamed along with Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, and senior officials.
UAE senior officials also attended the meeting at the palace, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajmanamong other senior officials.
Bahraini officials were also present at the meeting.
