: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers on Wednesday received Dr. Seyyed Hassan Hashemi, Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education in the Islamic Republic of Iran and his accompanying delegation.
Dr. Hashemi conveyed greetings of President Dr. Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian leadership along with good wishes of permanent success to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the Government.
The conversation during the meeting dealt with means of enhancing cooperation between the two friendly countries in fields of healthcare, treatment services, medical education, training of doctors and health cadres and sharing expertise, in addition to encouraging investments in the healthcare and reviewing several matters of common concern.
Dr. Hashemi expressed his delight and that of his accompanying delegation to visit the Sultanate. He hailed the great efforts being exerted by the Government in providing healthcare for citizens and residents, as well as the remarkable progress made at the level of therapeutic services. He also affirmed that the Sultanate has a good international reputation due to the balanced policies being pursued at all levels.
The guest also expressed his satisfaction of the existing cooperation with the Ministry of Health. He also stressed the importance of the talks that he will conduct in the Sultanate with the Minister of Health.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sa'eedi, Minister of Health.
