Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, has attended a reception held by Juma Abdullah Al Abadi, Ambassador of Jordan to the UAE, on the occasion of his country's 71st Independence Day.
During the reception, which was held at the InterContinental Hotel Abu Dhabi, the Jordanian Ambassador expressed his pride in the UAE-Jordan close relations, mutual cooperation, and understanding at all levels. He praised the eternal memory of King Hussein bin Talal and the UAE founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and following them, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Abdullah II of Jordan, saying that their relations have become a role model.
Al Abadi emphasised that the UAE is a real partner of Jordan in the implementation of development programmes and the establishment of investment projects in light of the incentives and investment environment available in Jordan, its modern structure and sophisticated economic legislation. He pointed out that the amount of investments between the two countries exceeds US$15 billion in various economic sectors.
Al Abadi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE, its leadership, government and citizens for their efforts, which enhance relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
