Royal Guard Commander and member of the Supreme Defence Council Brigadier His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid a visit to the Special Forces of Chechen where he watched part of the training with live ammunition. He listened to a briefing on the training goals and stages and got informed about its operations as well as the command and control means.
The training activities included counter-terrorism operations, storming and releasing hostages from captivity, fighting in residential areas and maintaining security and stability.
Brigadier Shaikh Nasser expressed appreciation of the training operations and military shows which reflect a high level of coordination and complementarity in performance and roles of various military groups taking part in the training operations which, he said, have boosted military readiness and advanced capabilities in carrying out various missions with modern weapons and high-tech military plans and tactics.
Brigadier Shaikh Nasser praised the spirit of cooperation between all military groups taking part in the training, stressing the importance of such training programmes to acquire more field experience and capability to plan security operations in fighting terrorism and extremism and their supporters who are posing a real threat to global peace and security. He also commended the high competence of Chechen army and their strong faith in defending their homeland, pointing out the perpetual development of the army thanks to the unflinching support of President Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov and keenness to equip it with cutting edge military technology.
