An Iranian delegation, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari, left Tehran for Astana Monday to attend the third round of talks on Syrian crises, Mehr News reported.
Astana has already hosted two rounds of negotiations between Damascus and representatives of armed opposition groups on January 23-24 and on February 15-16, aiming to maintain the ceasefire brokered in December by Russia, Iran and Turkey as guarantors.
The third round of talks is due to take place in Astana on March Tuesday and Wednesday.
Russia and Turkey have also confirmed their participation at the deputy foreign ministers level, according to Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov who has said the format and agenda of the next round of intra-Syrian talks in Astana this week would depend on guarantor countries, as well.
