His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa hailed the dedicated efforts of the Shura Council and Council of Representatives to bolster the parliamentary system, contribute to Bahrain’s development and progress and advocate social issues.
Receiving the annual parliamentary report for the 3rd session of the 4th legislative term, he hailed the achievements of the two councils as well as their vital role in developing legislations, strengthening the foundations of the state, defending national causes, building bridges of cooperation and bolstering friendship with other countries.
HM the King today received at Al-Sakhir Palace Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla and Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, who submitted the annual report.
HM the King hailed the content of the report which included achievements and constructive ideas to develop the legislative performance, looking forward to achieving more strides during the new legislative session to advance national work.
HM the King expressed pride in the dedication of Bahraini citizens in all areas of national work, hailing their crucial role in bolstering Bahrain’s standing.
The Speaker paid tribute to HM the King, hailing the royal keynote speech and directives which, he said, represent a roadmap for legislative work in the coming period.
He lauded cooperation with the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince khalifa
commending the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
