Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi issued on Wednesday night a decision appointing Brigadier General Yahya Mohammed Abu Ouga as Chief-of-Staff of the First Military Zone in Wadi Hadhramaut and Commander of the 135th Infantry Brigade.
Abu Ouga succeeds Colonel Ahmed el Darrab, who was appointed just on Monday, a local news website reported.
Abdrabbuh issued the decision after a Hadhramaut tribal alliance refused the appointment of Darrab in this high post, threating that they will reject any decision to appoint any of those persons, who harmed the interests of the governorate.
