The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) celebrated Zayed Humanitarian Day by launching the Ataya Al Khair (Giving for Good) initiative that aims to support elderly people and those in need.
It held a number of activities that reflected the essence of Shaikh Zayed’s humanitarian work, with the partnership of its strategic partners and supporting bodies.
As part of the initiative, water coolers, medical beds and praying chairs were donated to the elderly and those with limited means and their families. The donations were made in partnership with Cars Taxi and in the presence of its CEO, Abdullah Sultan Al Sabagh.
In light of Zayed Humanitarian Day, Rashid Hospital also donated wheelchairs to elderly people and those who are in need. A total of 105 wheel chairs will be donated for this occasion by Rashid Hospital, Latifa Hospital and Dubai Charity Association.
Humaid Al Qutami, chairman of the board and director-general of the DHA, said that Shaikh Zayed has left a long lasting mark with the humanitarian work. He added the humanitarian mark has reached people across the world with the directives of the UAE leadership.
