Deputy Interior Minister, Lt-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, headed Bahrain’s delegation to the 4th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting for integrity protection and anti-corruption officials at the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh.
In his speech, Al Fadhel expressed thanks and appreciation to Saudi Arabia for its cooperation with GCC joint work.
He said that the meeting deals with various issues to reinforce Gulf cooperation and integration through mechanisms that could promote integrity and anti-corruption.
Al Fadhel highlighted the importance of GCC cooperation to exchange expertise and experiences to get ready for the second session of the review of the implementation of the United Nation Anti-corruption Agreement.
The meeting discussed various topics related to the protection of integrity and anti-corruption in the region, including the guideline for the protection of public money and principals to enhance competency and improvement of the performance of concerned authorities.
The meeting discussed also the recommendations of the Gulf workshop on the international experiences to evaluate transparency and integrity and their influences on the general anti-corruption policies.
