HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today held talks with HM King Abdullah II of Jordan in the presence of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
HM the king welcomed the Jordanian monarch and praised the longstanding Bahraini-Jordanian relations highlighted by understanding and coordination.
The two monarchs took pride in the progressive bilateral relations at various levels.
HM the King hailed Jordan’s supportive stances led by HM King Abdullah II towards the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HM King Abdullah II lauded the distinguished friendship bilateral relations and cooperation between the two kingdoms.
The two leaders also discussed regional, Arab and global developments and coordinating stances towards them. They said more concerted efforts needed against current challenges sweeping across the Middle East for maintaining peace, security and stability within the international counterterrorism cooperation.
They pointed out the significance of unifying Arab stances to contribute to protecting their joint interests and standing against foreign interference in their internal affairs.
HM King Abdullah II stressed Jordan’s support for the Kingdom of Bahrain in facing attempts threatening its security and stability, saying the Gulf states’ security is the cornerstone of the region’s stability and security.
HM the King commended the Jordanian monarch’s promotion to the joint Arab action and upholding peace.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials of both sides.
