The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)’s Olympic Academy held a seminar on physical literacy for 20 instructors at a dedicated event.
Each of the chosen instructors will present a separate seminar in different government schools across Bahrain’s governorates.
Speaking at the introductory seminar, Bahrain Olympic Academy director Nabeel Taha focused on the themes highlighted by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President in regards to physical literacy.
Taha called on all the instructors to spread these principles to the relevant authorities in order to implement them in the near future.
Among targeted schools are Arad Primary Girls School, Al Oroba Primary Girls School, Al Khwarizmi Primary Boys School, Omar Abdulaziz Primary Boys School, Busaiteen Primary Boys School, all located in Muharraq.
In the Capital Governorate, Raba’a Al Adawiya and Um Ayman Primary Girls Schools, Al Ala’a Al Hadrami, Al Raziand Al Yarmook intermediate boys schools will be the venues for similar events.
Karrana, Al Nozha Hamad Town, Osama Bin Zaid and Barbar Primary Girls Schools will host the seminars set for the Northern Governorate, while the Southern Governorate seminars will be held at Bit Al Hekma and Almustaqbal Primary Girls Schools, Oqba bin Nafea, Malik bin Anas and Al Imam Al Tabari primary boys schools.
