A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck in the Hormozgan province of Iran at 01:30 UTC today.
According to initial reports, the tremor was at a depth of 10 km and was followed by as many as nine aftershocks. There have been no reports so far of any injuries or damage to buildings.
The USGS web-site is saying that the quake was centered 84km north of Minab, Iran.
