Abu Dhabi Education Council, ADEC, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, today hosted a youth circle at the Hamdan bin Zayed School in Abu Dhabi, with Shamma bint Sohail Faris AlMazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director-General of ADEC, in attendance.
A number of school and university students from Abu Dhabi's educational institutions were also invited to attend the youth seminar entitled "The Evolution of Education".
The aim of youth circle is to inspire youth-centric dialogue across a variety of areas for sustainable engagement with young people to shape innovative solutions for global challenges.
This edition of the Youth Circle series focused on familiarising the youth with the future of education systems and the stages of development witnessed by the UAE, highlighting their roles, abilities and skills to achieve further progress for themselves and the UAE.
Shamma AlMazrui thanked the Abu Dhabi Education Council and the Abu Dhabi Youth Council for their efforts in making this workshop a success. She stressed that education is a cornerstone of building countries and that investing in education is an investment to build a better future.
Al Mazrouei highlighted ADEC's keenness to continually involve young people to continue to better education systems, saying that this approach falls in line with the directives of the UAE leadership that encourages interaction with the youth and listening to them to meet their ambitions and aspirations. aspirations.
Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi said, "Our students are the heart of the UAE community. The vision of the Council is to prepare an educated generation, with a strong cultural awareness, that will better serve the community and the nation."
During the seminar, a series of topics were covered including the importance of establishing an education forum to review the necessity of providing an innovative school environment and enjoyable teaching methods for students in their early stages of education.
The importance of seeking to instil the love of learning the Arabic language in the hearts of students through clear and modern means that contribute to the launch of innovative educational programmes to support learning Arabic through the use of advanced technologies was also discussed during the youth circle.
