Saeed Rashid Al Mazrouei, Deputy Director of the UAE-Jordanian refugee camp, and volunteers from the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, joined Syrian refugees for the Eid al-Fitr prayers at the two mosques of the camp situated in Mrajeeb Al Fhood in northern Jordan.
Later, they congratulated the refugees and distributed Eid money gifts and sweets to the families in their caravans. This was followed by special entertainment activities for children.
The administration of the camp had also prepared the distribution of clothing to children to spread joy on the special day. They spared no efforts to make the Syrian refugees happy considering they are far away from home. The Emirates Red Crescent continues to organise such events for the refugees.
The refugees thanked the camp's administration for the financial, psychological and community support. They prayed to God to keep the UAE safe and to grant good health to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
They also expressed their gratitude to the Emirates Red Crescent for sponsoring the camp and providing facilities to help the Syrian refugees live with dignity.
