Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi,
Fujairah - Wam

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has attended the opening of the 3rd Arab Conference for Real Estate and Industrial Development and Investment today.

The event, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, was convened under the slogan "Green Economy for Sustainable Development" for two days at the Novotel Fujairah Hotel.

The conference was organised by the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in co-operation with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the Arab League and the Arab Union for Investment and Real Estate Development.

The Crown Prince of Fujairah said that the conference sought to achieve the objective of sustainable industrial development, as its main focus was the transition to a non-oil economy by utilising various resources to ensure the sustainability of comprehensive development in the region.

He also stressed the keenness of the Emirate of Fujairah, under the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah, to achieve the UAE 2021 and the UAE Centennial 2071. The main focus would be the economic diversification of industrial sectors, which in turn would contribute to the creation of a sustainable environment based on clean and renewable energy sources.

The Crown Prince honoured the organisers of the conference, sponsors, strategic partners and collaborators during the event. He also received commemorative shields from the Arab Union for Investment and Real Estate Development, the Council of Arab Economic Unity, the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce, and other key participants.

The conference hosted 15 speakers from 20 Gulf and Arab countries. Some 300 experts in various fields attended the event and discussed green buildings, sustainable industrial development in Fujairah and the Arab world, and their impact on the real estate and the industrial sector.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Eng. Mohamed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the E-Government Department in Fujairah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding Federation, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Adviser to the Ruler of Fujairah, and Mohammad Al Rabie, Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States.

Also in attendance at the event were Nael Kabariti, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Ahmed Salem Al Sudain, President of Arab Union for Investment and Real Estate Development, Salem Al Zahmi, Director of Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Khalifa Khamis Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Khalid Mohammed Al Jassim, Director General Fujairah Chamber of Commerce, as well as heads of the Chambers of Commerce of Gulf and Arab countries, heads of delegations, managers and officials from federal ministries and government institutions in Fujairah, investment experts, business owners and real estate and industrial companies.
