The UAE President’s Initiatives Committee and the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme have signed a co-operation agreement at the headquarters of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs to implement the housing maintenance and replacement project, with related decisions being issued to owners under a framework where both parties will establish strategic cooperation to serve citizens.
The agreement was signed by Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the President’s Initiatives Committee, and Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.
Al Zaabi praised the cooperation agreement between the committee and the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, which aims to promote the prosperity of citizens and provide them with decent living, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for the happiness of citizens to become a top priority and the necessity for each citizen to have appropriate housing as per international standards.
He stressed that the President’s Initiatives are being supported by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, as well as His Highness’s directives, to complete projects that guarantee the economic and social stability of citizens.
He stated that housing projects receive considerable attention among the list of the President’s Initiatives based on the belief of the wise leadership that housing is the cornerstone of economic, social and psychological stability for citizens’ families, continuing the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for providing a stable living for the UAE’s population.
He also highlighted the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to establish survey teams to visit citizens’ houses, learn their needs and achieve the highest levels of service facilities development by securing appropriate housing for the nation’s families.
