Officials from the Industrial Development Bureau of the Department of Economic Development, visited three new factories in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which started their operation in 2017 with a total investment value of AED2.471 billion.
The first company was Taweelah Aluminium Extrusion Company LLC (TALEX) which specialises in the field of metal coating as well as the smelting, rolling and extrusion of raw non-ferrous metals. The investment value of the company is AED2.208 billion.
The second company was Pack & Stack Woods LLC which specialises in the manufacturing of all kinds of platforms, pallets, and onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities’ and fields’ services with a total investment value of AED240 million, followed by the DUCAB Aluminium Company which operates in the field of non-ferrous metals’ alloys casting, as well as manufacturing metal cables and braided tapes and other products. The company’s total investment value is AED2.35 million.
During the visits, Ahmed Hilal Al Baloushi, Acting Director-General of the Bureau emphasised the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s keenness to provide all kinds of support to the investors in the industrial sector by providing many features that would enable them to successfully accomplish their investments in order to provide an added value to the Emirate’s economy. This would reflect the Emirate’s approaches toward achieving the goals of the economic development as part of Abu Dhabi Plan.
He also said that the DED, represented by the Industrial Development Bureau, is keen on following-up on these factories’ performance through conducting frequent visits in order to learn about their requirements and needs that, when met, will enable them to achieve the highest levels of competitiveness in the industrial sector.
The officials from these factories briefed the delegation about the type of work they do, the production mechanism and their marketing efforts from the first manufacturing stages all the way to selling and marketing the products in the local and international markets.
